Walk to Help Fight Hunger

The Greater Indianapolis CROP Hunger Walk invites people of all ages and faiths to join in providing resources to fight hunger around the world and around the corner. Funds raised through the CROP Walk help people in more than 80 countries through self-help development, disaster response, and refugee services.

In 2007, more than $120,000 was raised in the CROP Hunger Walk. In the Indianapolis area, Church World Service grants equivalent to 25% of the funds raised by the CROP Walk are shared with five local hunger-fighting agencies: Gleaners Food Bank, the St. Vincent de Paul Society, Second Helpings, the Indiana Christian Leadership Conference, and the Benevolent Fund of the Church Federation of Greater. Through a special donor-designated option, the American Friends Service Committee, Heifer Project International, MAP International, Mennonite Central Committee, and Unitarian Universalist Service among others also benefitted from the Walk.

Join us for the next CROP Hunger Walk on Sunday, October 19, 2008. For information on how to participate, contact the Indianapolis CROP Hunger Walk Office at (317) 923-2938.

Is there a reason why the time of the walk does not appear on the website? What time does the walk start?
